This European yew formation is over a thousand years old and is located in the region of Las Hurdes
This forest of European yews is in the enclave of “;Los Tejares” in Cerezal, a farmstead in the municipality of Nuñomoral. These trees, which are in a perfect state of conservation, can be up to a thousand years old and reach a height of 15 metres. They have a conical shape and a dense treetop of perennial leaves.
