The cork-oak of La Fresneda, located in Aldeanueva del Camino, is an exceptional, monumental tree, and these characteristics earned it the declaration as Singular Tree of Extremadura.
If you have the chance to see it, you will be astonished to find out that its height of 20 metres makes it the largest cork-oak in Extremadura. The circumference of its base is 6.8 metres and the diameter of the treetop measures 27.5 metres. There can be no doubt that this is a singular tree, and you will find it by taking the road from Aldeanueva del Camino to Valdelamatanza, about 1,600 metres from the junction with the N-630.
