The Monastery of Yuste was built in the 15th century, has been declared a National and European Heritage Site and houses a history museum.
You can visit the different rooms where the Emperor Charles V lived, and you'll find the instruments and furniture typical of the period. The rooms will take you back to past centuries. They are full of history as they witnessed the aging of the king and accommodated his body which was interred there until it was relocated. You can also visit the church and the monastery's two cloisters, and take a stroll through the spacious gardens and the pleasant kitchen garden which belong to the Monastery of Yuste. It is located in Cuacos de Yuste, in the province of Cáceres.
